Hey guys, this is Piu here back with another post 🙂 hope you all are doing great! As you can understand from the title, this post is all about certain habits we should incorporate in our daily lives to make our skin glow.
# Drink 2 glasses of water 4-5 times a day
60% of our body is composed of water. The function of this fluid in our body includes digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients and maintenance of body temperature. Without adequate water intake the skin tends to look dull, dry and also the pores look more prominent. We must drink enough water to ensure our skin is always hydrated.
# Drink green tea at least once a day
The benefits of green tea are countless. Green tea is usually recommended for reducing stress, improving digestion & metabolism. Well, it also does wonders for your skin as well. Green tea is abundant in antioxidants and this helps to flush out toxins from our skin, heals blemishes and reduces inflammation. Green tea aids in skin rejuvenation and reducing dark circles. Green tea has anti ageing properties and it strengthens the immune system.
# Include fruits and vegetables in your diet
To maintain the sheen in your skin make sure you eat enough fruits and vegetables. Apples, Papaya, Bananas, Lemon and Oranges are five best fruits for healthy skin. Add Sweet potato, Spinach, Carrot, Beetroot and other green leafy vegetables in your diet for glowing skin. By incorporating these fruits and vegetables in your diet you can ensure natural hydration and improvement of skin texture. Fruits and vegetables are free from toxins and are cost effective.
# Scrub your skin at least once a week
People with dry skin should exfoliate once a week; whereas those with oily skin type can exfoliate 2-3 times a week. Scrubbing exfoliates the skin by removing blackheads and dead skin. The outer layer of skin which is always exposed needs scrubbing to bring out the new skin. Generally after scrubbing our skin feels smooth and looks much better.
# Apply face-pack or face-mask at least once a week
Choose a face-pack depending on the skin problem you have. you can choose from a wide range of face mask available in the market. Generally masks are available for anti ageing, deep cleansing, acne clearing, clear skin, tightening and firm skin, oily skin, healthy skin, glowing skin, clear blackheads, skin brightening and many more. Face-packs are perfect treatment for skin problems that concern you. They help in removing excess oil from the skin and the right mask can help hydrate your skin.
# Walk everyday for 20-30 mins
Healthy skin comes from healthy body. Make walking a part of your daily life. At least try to walk for 20 mins everyday. Walking reduces body fat, lowers blood pressure, reduces stress, fights diabetes etc. Brisk walking improves blood circulation; blood circulation gives a glow to your skin from inside.
# Cleansing, toning and moisturizing
This is by far the most important thing to do for glowing skin. We all know that it is very important but we generally tend to miss one step or the other. During the summer I used to miss the moisturizing the step and in the winters I used to skip the toning. The thing is all 3 are equally important and for glowing skin this routine should be followed religiously. Cleansing is something that we all generally do. Just make sure to clean the problem areas properly like the nose if you have a tendency of breakouts or if you develop blackheads easily.
Toning helps to reduce pore size and get rid of dead skin cells. It is absolutely necessary. Toning also reduces the possibility of breakouts and cleans the skin from within. If we do not moisturize our skin is more prone to getting wrinkles. Skin needs to be replenished and it can be done by moisturizing. Choose a moisturizer depending on your skin type. People with oily skin often tend to skip moisturizing but that is not required as various oil free moisturizers are available in the market.
Take care. Stay happy. Stay fit.
